One Sleepy Morning It was a sleepy morning the kind that fall always brings the sun barely visible its rays fighting the foggy skies but for some unknown reason, you know that the sun is trying to reach out and be with you because it does so every single day I was almost awake by then my mind was only half-closed my eyes were half-open when I saw those precious smiles coming from a face red with embarassment pink with pride and joy unadorned yet a canvass of colors And those deep dark eyes that every once in a while would refuse to meet my glances those chinky little eyes that must have witnessed and caused decades worth of heartaches those eyes were once again smiling back at me For a minute there, I got lost in my own imagination words in my mouth would not come out but somehow our smiles were enough Then came the first kiss Which must have been rather awkward because I kissed and was not kissed back But when I looked at those unassuming eyes all of my suspicions melted all of my heartaches gone what was left was joy the joy felt the first time I met those blushing cheeks and those eyes deep in concentration until they met my gazes for that was the first time I saw those amorous smiles It must have been the sleepiness of the morning because I closed my eyes your head now resting above my heart as if listening to the whispers of a man delirious with joy happy to be once again near you happy to once again kiss you whether or not you kiss me back
