TIME I was just thinking could be because I heard random conversations of people walking by two girls giggling in whispers two young men shaking hands in silence two ladies sputtering obscenities and laughters the sound of each of their voices the shrill of the deafening silence made me think, made me ask myself, if I still remember your voice, li'l brother I have seen you grow up to be a dependable man exchanging the tired black boots with black leather shoes exchanging the torn denim shorts with tailored suits that now hide the rose tattoo you were once proud to show because as cool as the tattoo was it was cooler to be rebellious And while you were busy exchanging lifestyle with other lifestyle clothes with newer clothes shoes with more comfortable shoes I was also busy living the life I wanted to live one, that because of some misfortune, has taken me away from you Time passed without conversations except for the once in a while long distance telephone calls the "what are you doing?"'s were answered with "nothing" the "how are you?"'s were just "fine, thank you" Yet we shrug our shoulders somehow knowing that we will have time more time to be with each other But time is a cruel punisher and time kills memories made in time and time shortens the time spent in time Still we go on, living with time believing we still have time
